My husband and I live locally and have been to Funland three times...once to take my stepdaughter, once when my son, his wife and my grandkids were in from Germany and more recently by ourselves for a date night, because we never really got to enjoy it when we had children with us.
This place has never failed us. Everyone has always enjoyed it and we've never personally experienced to many fails from the machines, which is to be expected with any arcade (literally once skeeball kept our money and we notified staff and got it fixed).
Some things to consider:
-The batting cages are currently down (Sept. 2019) as they are getting revamped.
-Bring a hair tie if you're coming to ride the go karts because if your hair is long, they will expect it to be tied back. My daughter in law almost couldn't ride, but luckily I had a rubber band in my purse.
-Wear proper shoes if you want to do the wall climb. This is common sense...you're climbing a wall, you need good fitting shoes on for safety purposes.
-Expect that it can get very expensive; especially for a family. The package deals are worth it if you intend on doing even just a few things, instead of purchasing a couple of things separately (ie: the batting cages, the rides outside, etc). The cards are reusable.
-There isn't much for very small children. I would say this is a place that is better suited for older children, teenagers and adults. For those under 5, I would recommend Chuck E Cheese instead.
-Go through the week rather on the weekend. They do get crowded.
They do have a food court, although we've never purchased food or drink there. Nice clean bathrooms. Staff are hard to come by if you need something. It's best if you have an issue, to just jump back in line at the front (this seems to be the quickest method).
Otherwise, a nice amount of rides inside and out, putt putt golf, plenty of arcade games and the 2 different go kart tracks. This isn't an amusement park per say, rather just an arcade that offers some rides as well. If you're looking for an amusement park, I would recommend Busch Gardens or Kings Dominion. -

Funland is almost great. It was worth the hour drive as there is nothing else quite like it where we live. Purchasing the all-day pass online meant unlimited rides, go karts, laser tag, bumper cars, Pac-Man games, bowling, putt putt golf, Mario Kart games, and so forth. We stayed basically from open to close, leaving only for a lunch break. (The food court at Funland sells the usual unhealthy food - mozzarella sticks, pizza, chicken tenders, wings, etc.)
But, we were disappointed by several things. The biggest was that we didn't realize the all-day pass did NOT include the several arcade games that give out tickets. So, we ended up spending another 60 dollars on top of the 180 for all day passes. And still there were a few other things that would have cost additional money, like the Halo virtual reality game. That wasn't clear on their website. And they mentioned games online, like Dance Dance Revolution, which were nowhere to be found in the place.
Several games were broken with no one actively working on them. Half of the bumper cars were out of order. Go Karts were regularly interrupted with mechanical problems. Our tire blew out within 1 minute. Another go kart needed to be restarted. The indoor rollercoaster got stuck as we returned to the station; so, we just sat there for 3 extra minutes.
The service is what you'd expect of bored teenagers. You'd have to text someone to operate a ride because there were too few staff. You'd have to text when the bowling pins got tangled, which happened often because they are operated by strings like puppets. The staff would lazily, softly speak important instructions that no one could hear over loud music. It seemed like the staff at the prize booth, where you trade in your tickets from the arcade games, were making fun of us for taking too long.
I highly recommend going mid-week to beat the rush. It's worth checking out, but don't come with expectations of a perfect, well-run place. -

This place is okay. There are a ton of arcade games and you can get this cool all-day pass to play, but obviously can't play anything that dispenses tickets, which are able half the games that are even in there. Certain outdoor things, besides mini-golf, don't open until a certain time, so I'd be safe and check the website especially if you plan on go-karting...which we were unable to do because were there at 10AM. This place needs a heavy renovation on the outside. Bathroom was kinda gross and I felt like I needed to wet wipe everything I touched. Not a big staff, had to run around looking for someone to help us at the ticket counter at one point.

Do I think $135 for 4 people was worth it? No. The list of rides is short for the amount money you pay. Pay online it's cheaper. But for me, the price is too much for a much older amusement park. You can literally count with your fingers the rides!! I didn't try the food so I can't review. 3 Star because the bathrooms are clean, the rides time was good, & the staff was nice.

Sigh. This place is a wreck. During our time there, half the games were out of service. The bathroom was disgusting. The cafe area was disgusting; trash and food all over empty tables. Trash cans full to capacity so trash was all over the ground and floors. Cigarette butts all in front of the building. There seemed to be a lot of people at work but not a lot of people working.
